Lewis Hamilton signed the best time just after having changed his suspension set up (1’26’’852). Both Mercedes’ performance wasn’t good during the start practice. In FP3, Nico will work on how to improve his prestation in Q3 and sign his first pole of the season this weekend. Kimi Räikkönen has kept his fourth place from the FP1 (+0’’928s). He’s not satisfied with his car’s behavior on track. According to the Finnish newspaper “Turun Sanomat”, his contract issues will be solved in August. Daniil Kvyat has been classified fifth (+1’’091s). Max Verstappen has occupied the sixth row. Jenson Button has invited himself among the seven first ones. Valtteri Bottas has been eighth. Like last year, his fiancée Emilia Pikkarainen and her friend Mimi have been in the paddock from Barcelona (http://xpb.cc/thumbnails/2015/f1-2015-esp/fr/04V0GZL0U9IPHC07WO4QP08VBSE9_450.jpg). Both of Carlos Sainz Jr and Felipe Massa have been at the end of the top 10. Fernando Alonso has appeared in eleventh position. Romain Grosjean, twelfth, lost a big chunk of his engine cover on track at 2:16pm. There was a red flag. Daniel Ricciardo, thirteenth, left his garage at 3:24pm (total=13 laps completed today). His mechanics changed his PU. After some gearbox issues in FP1, Pastor Maldonado has had a more productive practice this afternoon (14th – 34 laps). Felipe Nasr has failed at the fifteenth place. Marcus Ericsson, sixteenth, signed the first benchmark of the session at 2:03pm (1’33’’041). Both Sahara Force India have been depressed at the bottom of the grid (advantage for Nico Hülkenberg). They’ve been followed by both Manor (advantage for Will Stevens). After the FP2, the GPDA had a meeting and they’ll make some announcements in MC in two weeks. They have got some ideas for more interaction with the fans.
